A classic combo: steak and shrimp! This decadent duo is well seasoned and cooked to a crispy char on your stovetop. Then, both the steak and shrimp are blanketed in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, which helps even out your keto macros. Enjoy this recipe with any of your favorite Carb Manager side dishes.

Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, ground
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme, dried
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper by simply organic
  • 8 ounce roast beef, sirloin tip, visible fat eaten
  • 6 large raw shrimp
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 3 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 ½ tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, fresh

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, mustard powder, thyme, and red pepper.
  2. Divide an 8 oz steak into 2 even cuts, and prepare 6 jumbo shrimp be peeling and deveining them. Sprinkle about ⅓ of your seasoning over the shrimp. Apply the remaining seasoning to both sides of each steak.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Place the steaks in the oil and cook them to your liking, getting an even char on both sides. These steak were cooked to medium doneness, about 5 min per side. When you flip the steaks, squeeze about ½ tsp of lemon juice in the pan to create steam and infuse the steaks.
  4. Transfer the steaks to a serving dish and turn the heat down to a medium on your pan. Place the shrimp in and cook them for about 2 minutes per side. Like the steaks, after flipping the shrimp, squeeze another approximate ½ tsp of lemon juice over the shrimp.
  5. Transfer the shrimp to your serving dish. Once more, put your pan over very low heat. Deglaze the pan with the butter until it is melted. Then, stir in the garlic and about 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Heat for about 60 seconds.
  6. Pour the lemon garlic butter sauce over your steak and shrimp. Garnish with fresh parsley and your favorite keto side dish!
