A classic side dish at Chinese restaurants and dim sum places is actually very easy to make at home with a few ingredients. The key is to slice the tofu and celery into the same sized strips for the most authentic eating experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 8 ounce spiced jumbo thick dry tofu by water lilies food
  • 5 large – stalk – 11" to 12" long celery stalks
  • 2 teaspoon tamari sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Slice dried tofu into thin strips.
  2. Slice celery into thin strips at a bias.
  3. Heat a heavy bottomed pan over medium-high heat until hot, add avocado oil. Swirl the pan with oil. Add minced garlic and stir briefly.
  4. Add tofu and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. Add celery (cut on a bias into thin strips) and stir fry again for 1-2 minutes until celery is still crispy, but not raw. Drizzle in tamari and sesame seed oil. Taste adding a pinch of salt if needed.
