About

Cranberry sauce is the perfect pairing for turkey on Thanksgiving! This version is more tart, so if you like it a little sweeter add an additional ¼ cup of sweetener.

Ingredients

  • 3 cup, whole pieces cranberries, fresh
  • ¾ cup the ultimate sugar replacement granular by swerve
  • ½ teaspoon orange peel or zest raw
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Add fresh cranberries, Swerve, orange zest, a pinch of kosher salt and water to a small saucepan. If you like cranberry sauce on the tarter side stick with ¾ of a cup of sweetener. If you like it sweeter, add another ¼ cup. Stir the ingredients together until it is well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring it to a simmer and cook it like this for about 15 minutes or until the cranberries have popped and are starting to thicken.
  3. Serve warm!
