Simple yet tasty, these salami rolls are packed with rich, Italian inspired flavors.

The rolls make excellent individual snacks and appetizers – perfect for lunch boxes. Alternatively, 3 rolls would serve as lunch for one accompanied by a simple salad.

Ingredients

  • 6 slice – 4" diameter x 1/8" – each 0.8 ounce salami, cotto (cooked or soft), beef and pork
  • 6 leaf basil
  • 2 tablespoon cream cheese spread
  • 2 tablespoon, grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 pieces sundried tomatoes in oil by pastene
  • 1 tablespoon, sliced black olives
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the cream cheese, mozzarella, olives and tomatoes to a mixing bowl with the black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  2. Arrange the 6 salami slices and layer each with a large basil leaf
  3. Dividing evenly between the 6, spoon the filling along the center of each salami slice.
  4. Fold the edges of the salami over so that they overlap, securing the filling inside. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
