About

If you have a Baby Boomer parent (or you may be one yourself), you’ve likely come across many old-fashioned cheese balls at holiday parties! Instead of a large appetizer, these retro cheese balls are miniature to enjoy as a snack. Eat them as is, like a fat bomb, or spread onto your favorite snack. For dipping, Carb Manager Bacon Chips taste best with these!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 ¼ ounce manzanilla olives stuffed with minced pimento by great value
  • 1 ½ teaspoon, cut pieces chives
  • ½ cup slivered almonds by fisher

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, soften the cream cheese with the back of a spoon or a fork. Roughly chop the olives, and combine them with the chives in the cream cheese.
  2. Use your hands to form 10, 1-inch balls.
  3. Pour the almond slivers into a bowl or onto a plate. Crush the slivers into small pieces. Roll each cheese ball into the almonds so they are fully coated.
