Thick, ripe tomato slices, smooth swiss cheese, and a bright and peppery tuna salad mix: you couldn’t ask for more from the title! No need to make this snack in advance; it’s super quick to throw together in between meals, before a workout, or to share with the kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 can – each 5 ounce net weight tuna
  • ½ tablespoon mayo
  • ½ teaspoon dijon mustard
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper, ground
  • ⅛ teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon, chopped green onions
  • 4 ounce tomato raw (includes cherry, grape, roma)
  • 1 ½ slice (from pre-sliced package) – each 3/4 ounce swiss cheese, natural

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the tuna with mayo, dijon, salt, pepper, celery seed, and chopped green onion.
  2. Slice roma tomatoes into approx. ½-inch slices (3 slices per serving) and arrange on a serving plate. Place a ¼-slice of swiss cheese on top of each tomato slice.
  3. Place about 2 teaspoons of tuna salad atop each tomato topper. Use the measuring spoon to gently press the tuna salad into place.
