A simple snack that’s hot, crispy, salty, and cheesy! There’s enough space here to add on more at your discretion, such as strips of lettuce, a piece of giardiniera, an olive, or another keto garnish.

Ingredients

  • 6 slice – 6" long bacon
  • 2 slice – each 1 ounce turkey slices
  • 2 slice (from pre-sliced package) – each 3/4 ounce colby jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is preheating, cook your bacon slices over the stove until crispy. Try to keep the bacon as straight and flat as possible. Let the bacon cool to the side while you continue on.
  2. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and lay 2 slices of deli turkey down. Lay a slice of cheese on top of each turkey slice. Bake the tray for only 3-4 minutes until the cheese has melted and the edges of the turkey begin to crisp.
  3. Pull the tray from the oven and let it cool for just 30 seconds before laying approx. 3 slices of cooked bacon on top of each melted cheese slice. If you need to let the turkey cool more before handling, please do.
  4. Fold each slice of turkey over as pictured. Slice each stack of turkey, bacon, and cheese into 4 slices.
  5. Skewer 2 strips of turkey, bacon, and cheese onto each toothpick.
