These crispy keto kale chips are tossed with spicy chili, aromatic garlic, zesty lemon and nutritional yeast for a vegan cheese flavor.

These make a great sharing snack or side.

Ingredients

  • 4 cup kale
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon peel or zest raw
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili pepper, dried, with seeds
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast by red star
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a shallow oven tray with baking paper.
  2. Clean the kale and spread in an even layer across the lined oven tray, discarding any tough stalks.
  3. Whisk together the olive oil, nutritional yeast, lemon zest, chili flakes, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Drizzle this oil over the kale and rub into the leaves using your hands.
  4. Transfer to the oven to bake for 12-15 minutes or until the kale is crispy, turning halfway through.
