Can I Make This Vegan?

We have cooked our cabbage dish in a hearty helping of ghee to provide both fats and flavor. If you would like to make the dish vegan, you can easily swap the cooking fat. You can use either olive oil or coconut oil, or even a combination of the two. You can also use a Keto-friendly plant-based spread if preferred. Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 3 cup cabbage
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the cabbage, onion and garlic. Melt the ghee in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic. Sweat gently for a few minutes until tender and fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet along with the salt and pepper. Stir well. Continue to pan-fry gently for 8-10 minutes. The cabbage should become soft and tender.
  3. Drizzle the lemon juice over the tender cabbage. Stir well. Serve hot with your preferred Keto mains.
