These bacon wrapped sprouts are complimented by aromatic thyme and sweet, maple flavored syrup.

A great addition to the holiday table or to jazz up Sunday lunches.

Ingredients

  • 10 slice – 6" long bacon
  • 10 sprout brussels sprouts, raw
  • 2 teaspoon, chopped thyme, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt, sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Arrange the bacon strips across a sheet of baking paper.
  3. Add the mustard, maple flavoured syrup, thyme and salt to a small mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
  4. Brush each bacon strip with the dressing.
  5. Trim the sprouts and discard any outer leaves. Sit one sprout at the end of each bacon strip and roll in the bacon until completely wrapped all over.
  6. Place the wrapped sprouts seam side down on the lined baking tray and sprinkle with black pepper.
  7. Transfer to the oven to roast for 18-20 minutes until the bacon is golden brown and the sprouts are cooked through.
